Bernard Lim has an outstanding track record of leading strategic development and innovation and achieving exceptional growth and performance spanning the biotechnology, medical devices, diagnostics and high technology sectors with both start-ups and corporate multinationals across the U.S., Canada and Europe. He was CEO/founder of a medical device company where he led its spectacular growth and subsequently exited with a highly successful sale to a global pharmaceutical. Previous to that, he was head of R&D for a leading neonatology company before joining a global technology company where he led and scaled its UK operations exponentially while delivering multifold improvements in quality and saving millions in working capital cash. Subsequently, as Senior VP for a cardiovascular biotech, he established the infrastructure for a global clinical trial and latterly served as CEO for a glaucoma and Alzheimer’s diagnostic company (UK). He is currently the resident life science Executive in Residence for the Ontario Regional Innovation Centre, Hamilton where he is mentor/advisor to multiple companies, in addition to being Chair of the Board for a technology company (UK) and board director for a number of university spin out companies including Aventamed (Ireland) and Altus Assessments (Canada).
