Ian studied Engineering at the University of Manitoba and has been a registered Professional Engineer in the Province since 2007. Ian was influenced to put his Engineering skills to work in the Medical Devices arena after learning about his Great Grandfather’s transformative medical practice in the city of Winnipeg.

Ian enjoys the collaborative nature of the Winnipeg Medical Device space and the people that make up this community. Ian excels at New Product Development and has guided many projects from Design Input Development through Design Transfer into Manufacturing. Ian brings a strong combination of Project Management skills and proven Innovation Strategies to his role as the Director of Research and Engineering for Koven Technology Canada.

Koven Technology Canada has 16 years of engineering experience in medical device design and development. They specialize in helping medical diagnostic and therapeutic companies achieve successful commercialization of their new product ideas by helping to meet challenges and overcome obstacles associated with product ideation, design input development, and engineering.
