Biography

While completing her MD degree, Jeiran developed an interest for intensive care during her years of ICU clinical rotations at the Texas Medical Center. Upon graduating, she began working at the Sunnybrook hospital of Toronto, in quality improvement clinical research at the trauma center. Alongside her team, she was able to update life-sustaining intensive care measures by Meta-analysis of the data from previous years to decrease mortality rate and improve post discharge outcomes. She joined a startup team at University of Waterloo as a medical consultant focusing on patients living with mental health conditions. The team developed a personalized biofeedback tracker adjusting to the individual’s daily habits, which improved their quality of life by making them aware of their momentary changes. Jeiran is determined to pursue her career as a clinician scientist and believes that it is through innovation that advancements are made possible in a rapidly evolving medical field.
