Biography
Ibrahim Marwa has completed his MPH at Western University, during which, he received the MPH Community Services Award and Dr. James Rossiter MPH Practicum Award. Before joining Western, Ibrahim worked in multiple health innovation research institutes such as Neurosurgical Simulation Centre at McGill University, and the Epilepsy research lab at Toronto Western Hospital. Ibrahim is interested in global health innovation, he worked in an online telecommunications clinic with the internally displaced people in Syria. Last year, he went to one of the refugee camps and started multiple preventive health initiative to reduce the overall burden of disease within the refugee community. After the fellowship Ibrahim went on to cofound Tune-Out Medical and ONPoint Medical based on projects completed during the fellowship. He currently works with Middlesex–London Health Unit as a Supervisor.
